Niccolo Crabanini is a painting by Christopher Rex, the Chamber Festival's artistic and general director. In the words of Chris:
“Chamber music by the sea. What better image to embody our Festival than a fiddler crab? I have attempted to make the image colorful, energetic, spontaneous and fun, which are all of the characteristics that capture the personality of the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival. No doubt, Niccolo Crabanini is playing serious music, but he is far from stuffy. He has just concluded a virtuosic display of pyrotechnics and is flinging his bow and violin wide to accept the thunderous applause of his audience. I hope this new image for the Festival will serve as an invitation to come and enjoy our celebration of great music.” |
