Anne Akiko Meyers is celebrated as one of the world’s premiere concert violinists. She has performed as featured soloist with the Boston Symphony, London’s Philharmonia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, to name a few. She performs on the ‘Ex-Napoleon/Molitor’ Stradivarius violin, dated from 1697. Pianist Wendy Chen has garnered critical acclaim for her recitals and engagements with leading orchestras worldwide, with reviewers exclaiming that “having pianist Wendy Chen on the program is a guarantee that sparks will fly.” Cellist Andres Diaz, awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 1998, has made many orchestral and recital appearances with symphonies throughout the world. Christopher Rex is principal cellist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Artistic and General Director of the Festival.
The Verandah (Omni Amelia Island Plantation, 6800 First Coast Highway) will be open for pre-concert dining.
